The Presidents' Hall of Fame
The Presidents of Cask Orators have shaped the club into what it is today. This page honours their leadership, vision, and lasting impact on our journey.
Salim Abdul Rashid
(March 2021 - March 2022)
Just before his tenure as the Chairman of SICASA of SIRC of ICAI, CA Salim, along with then Area Director CA Sreenivasan P R, DTM, chartered this club. CA Slim as the Charter President of the club, and member of Chartered Toastmasters, gave the direction needed for the inexperienced members of the club.
Rajat Santhosh, DTM
(March 2022 - June 2023)
After serving as the Charter VP Education of the club, Rajat ascended to the President's role. Under his tenure, the club, which was initially exclusive to CA Students of Kerala, opened up to everyone. We started to go hybrid every now and then at ICAI Bhavan, Ernakulam, after the COVID restriction was relaxed, which was a difficult transition period for all the clubs.
Govind R

Govind took up the mantle of President, after his tenure as Secretary, and then VP Education of the club. Under his tenure, Cask Orators went fully offline, meeting every weekend at Thrikkakara, Kochi, Kerala, where we still meet. Under his tenure, Cask Orators became a President's Distinguished Club for the first time since inception.
Dheeraj Sarda
(July 2024 - June 2025)
Under Dheeraj's presidency, Cask Orators stood out from the rest of the club, earning many accolades throughout the year. It was a time where we had solidified our position as a purely offline club, attracting many youngsters to the club. Cask Orators became a President's Distinguished Club for second time in a row during this year.
Akhil John Thomas
(July 2025 - June 2026)
Akhil's vision as the president was simple, "Leave the club better than he was handed over". He stayed true to his words, as the club achieved "Smedley Distinguished Award", the highest accolade a club can get, among other awards received. Under his tenure, many initiatives like The Cask Book Club, The Cask Debate Society, The Comm Studio, were started, which raised the standard of the club even higher.
